Blue Energy International announces new management team

Blue Energy International is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jon Ellison as CEO. Mr. Ellison has worked with Blue Energy for several years in all aspects of business development and company management.

“I'm very excited to continue my work with Blue Energy in a senior management capacity,” says Mr. Ellison. “ It' a very exciting time to be advancing renewable tidal energy, and especially the value proposition reflected in our technology. The time has arrived to advance tidal energy, worldwide, and my intention is to assist Blue Energy in leading the way.”

Mr. Ellison confirms that company management is focused on plans to construct a 20 kW demonstration project of Blue Energy's Davis Hydro turbine in the near future. Such a demonstration would serve as follow-up to three successful rounds of prototype and hydrodynamic testing in the marine engineering test tank facility of the University of British Columbia. Prototype testing, which began 20 months ago, was aided by funding provided by Western Canada Economic Development (Canadian federal government).

Joining Mr. Ellison in Blue Energy management is Ms. Bernadette Wright, appointed as company General Manager. Like Mr. Ellison, Ms. Wright has worked with Blue Energy for several years, assisting with accounting, record-keeping and company development.

Mr. Martin Burger, Blue Energy founder, will continue in a management position, acting as Chairman, Board of Directors, and as Chief of Engineering and Technology.
