Born of Cree heritage and raised in the Canadian sub-arctic, Mr. Burger worked as a diamond driller in the mining camps to put himself through college where he graduated with distinction with a diploma in civil engineering from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.  Martin founded an ASC listed mining company in 1987 called Octan Resources Inc.  He also played key roles in the success of two technology driven companies and in the development of several world-scale construction projects in the petrochemical energy and mining sectors.  Mr. Burger collaborated with inventor Barry Davis in July of 1990 to develop and commercialize the Davis Hydro Turbine. Martin and his colleagues have evaluated over 400  innovation technology developments over the past 20 years and he brings an out of the box perspective, unwavering commitment, engineering and construction expertise, and visionary leadership to Blue Energy.  Martin is an elected Fellow with the World Innovation Foundation.

Mr. Ellison is an entrepreneur who has been active in strategic investment opportunities in clean tech for ten years.  He has acted as a director and officer for various technologies companies.  He has been involved with the Company since 2003, initially serving as the Company's general manager and currently as Executive Vice President where he focuses on project development and strategic partnerships.

Mr. Nott has served as counsel to the Company since 2008.  He has clerked with the Tax Court of Canada, worked at a large national firm where he chaired the national Renewable Energy practice group, and now serves as counsel to several companies.  He has a background in environmental economics and environmental geography, as well as transactional experience in wind, biomass and cogeneration power projects, large public infrastructure projects and years of experience advising companies of all size throughout North America.

 RICHARD ELDER—Project Manager:  Richard brings a wealth of practical knowledge in project management, organization, and manufacturing with special area of expertise in the use of composite materials in marine applications to the Blue Energy team. He has founded corporate organizations, served as CEO, raised venture capital, coordinated engineering, & design  teams, and directed successful international sales programs. Awards include Superyacht of the Year for the most outstanding yacht construction project in the world. His articles about renewable energy alternatives have been published in the national media.  

Joseph has past experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer,10 years as a Mechanical Engineer, 5 years as a Research and Teaching Assistant and1 year as a Research Associate. He then went on to obtain his PhD and is joining the company. Joseph does world-class leading-edge Computational Fluid Mechanics (CFD). He uses top programs such as |Fluent and CFX. To our knowledge no one has advanced kinetic turbine modeling to his level. He does 3D rotating reference frames accompanied by a 2-phase flow model for cavitations. His main role will be in the design of higher efficiency blades by using boundary layer control to push the limits on velocities and hence, higher power densities (proportional to the velocity cubed).

An ardent Blue Energy supporter for over 13 years and one of the early founding shareholders, Doug brings an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to effective communication.  He has a background in media arts, real estate, humanitarian projects and client relations.   Since 2004 Doug has served as the primary communications interface between the company and its supporting shareholders.

Geoff Smith has over 40 years of experience in a wide range of energy sector consulting projects and programs. He is President of NexEnergy Inc., a California-based energy consulting firm and small business. Prior to this he was senior vice-president at Nexant Inc., a Bechtel-formed global energy consulting firm conducting and managing consulting work in a variety of areas. He gained a wealth of experience as a senior manager at Bechtel Corporation, directing the technical advisory efforts for a $200 million international energy and environmental program sponsored by USAID in Washington DC, and a $60 million Egyptian industrial energy efficiency and environmental project for USAID/Cairo. Geoff is greatly experienced in energy planning; power systems planning; clean power and fuels; conventional and advanced energy technologies and systems, including solar, ocean and other renewable technologies; energy technology assessment; energy systems design; conservation and efficiency; greenhouse gas reduction and capture, energy audits; and economic and financial analysis and market studies. Geoff received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at McGill University as well as his M.S. in Electrical Engineering at McGill University. He received his M.B.A., Finance at Golden Gate University. He is a Registered Mechanical Engineer in Callifornia and a member of the
Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

Mr. Gill is the Chief Executive Officer of Gill Advanced Technologies a consulting engineer in global business.   He has experience in the development of sustainable energy projects, corrosion analysis and ship mechanical systems. Mr. Gill is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, Mechanical Engineering, and holds a second degree in mechanical engineering from Punjab University in 1989. Mr. Gill has worked as Lead Mechanical Engineer at Membrane Reactor Technologies with extensive experience in mechanical systems design/analysis, Quality Control and manufacturing. Mr. Gill is a P.Eng. and was the Chair of the British Columbia Section ASME 2007/08.

Dr. Henderson is an independent futurist and lecturer, author of six highly acclaimed books, a syndicated columnist, and sustainability consultant to groups such as OPEC. Dr. Henderson is a Fellow of the World Business Academy and serves on the boards of many socially responsible organizations, such as the Calvert Social Investment Fund and the Cousteau Society.
