Jon Ellison - CEO

Jon first invested in Blue Energy in 2003. Soon after, Jon was appointed as General Manager, a position he served from 2004 - 2007 and during which time he traveled internationally and assisted in all aspects of company development. Jon was appointed to CEO Blue Energy International in December 2007. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago.

Bernadette Wright - General Manager

Bernadette joined Blue Energy in 2002. She has diverse experience in many aspects of the business world including tax, corporate and general law in paralegal and management capacities. She has also successfully owned and operated several entrepreneurial ventures and joined the Blue Energy team to become part of the unfolding of the new greener, sustainable energies which she believes are crucial in supporting the health of our planet and future generations.

Martin Burger - CET, Founder, and Chairman, Board of Directors

From 1990 – 2000 Martin collaborated with inventor-aerospace engineer Barry Davis to develop and promote the Davis Hydro Turbine, evolving the turbine design from a stand-alone unit to the ocean class tidal bridge. This pioneering Blue Energy breakthrough is uniquely distinct from other tidal power conversion methods in that it is a “resource driven design” as opposed to a technology driven design.

A passionate futurist and conference speaker on sustainability and energy technology solutions, Martin has acted in an international advisory capacity in matters of energy sustainability with his vision for a low cost, clean energy future. He presented a tidal power technology briefing to President Ramos and his Caucus of the Phillippines, was a Keynote Speaker at COFE I & II (Conference of Future Energy), and OPEC I & II. He was selected by Hazel Henderson as a keynote speaker at OPEC I envisioning a post-oil future, and was asked to sponsor the follow-up OPEC II conference in Vancouver, British Columbia, the home of Blue Energy International, expanding on OPEC I and briefing delegates on high density sustainable energy opportunities.

Interested in beneficial yet stranded technology solutions, Martin has evaluated over 400 innovations in the past 20 years and brings an out-of-the box perspective, unwavering commitment, engineering / heavy construction expertise, and visionary leadership to Blue Energy. Prior to his role with Blue Energy Martin played key roles in the success of two technology driven companies and in the development of several world-scale construction projects in the petrochemical energy and mining sectors.

Martin is a Fellow with the World Innovation Foundation (www.thewif.org) and a Gerson Lehrman Expert Council Member ( www.glgroup.com).

Based in Vancouver, Westmar Consultants provides consulting engineering services to clients throughout the world. Westmar specializes in port and bulk terminal planning and design, maritime structures, materials handling systems, terminal operations, coastal, offshore and arctic structures, industrial structures and site development, and underwater inspection services. To date, Westmar has completed over 2000 assignments throughout British Columbia and internationally.

Jack S. Wilson

Jack has 30+ years of design, manufacture and construction experience. The former president of Gunn Industries, he has received the NorthEast Coal Award and Montgomery Medal for Construction Innovation.
